I am a ham!

What's a ham?

A ham is a licenced amateur radio operator. Amateur radio is a public service. You will find hams all over the world helping out, from parades to tornado spotting.

Some people think hams are all up winded, old duffers who don't have anything better to do with their time and money then to talk and buy radios and antennas. This is NOT the case! In my 2 years I have talked to over 100 different hams and all are great people concerned about the general public well being.

Oh, yeah! I'm a ham also. And I am not old or upwinded. We enjoy helping our communities with skywarn - watching and spotting storms for the National Weather Service. It is a fun hobby.
Thanks for posting.
